Figueres is a city of 44,000 inhabitants, epicenter of a territory, the Alt Empordà region, whose pricipal values are its landscape, culture and history. Their situation fifteen kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the Pyrenees, and surrounded by three natural parks and its wealth of museums, headed by the Dalí Museum, make Figueres an open minded tows. The centre where the principal attractions are concentrated, is less than two kilometres from the TGV (high-speed train) station, which is connected by a bus service and taxis.
